ProMetric Application-Specific Software

Unleash the power of your ProMetric imaging photometer & colorimeter ...
... with specialised software applications that can simplify complex production testing and device calibrations. Radiant Imaging’s application specific-solutions are specialised software packages - combined in some cases with specialised hardware - that are used together with a ProMetric series imaging colorimeter to efficiently accomplish specialised testing and calibration tasks in R&D, production, or in-field environments. In most cases, a ProMetric camera can be selected independently from the application-specific software to allow maximum flexibility in determining overall system performance, capabilities and cost.
For any of Radiant Imaging’s application systems, we can also modify the user interface or to add testing capabilities as required for specific tasks on request. Supported modifications include custom user interfaces, simplified test results based upon pass/fail interfaces for use by production personnel, customised tests specific to the user’s product architecture, or automation of several tests into a single, turn-key application. For an example of a customised user-interface, please refer to our Headlamp Testing Case Study - we developed software that simplifies the measurement of automotive headlamp beam patterns. The software automatically determines the “beam elbow” in the illumination pattern, aligns the camera image to this position, measures the illuminance at the ECE R20 specified test points for left or right hand drive and provides for simplified pass/fail type reporting of the device under test.

PM-PTS SoftwarePM-PTS (Production Test Sequencer) software provides for fully automated testing and calibration of displays and projectors which results in greater testing throughput and reduced costs. Test images are sent to the device under test to determine the display's brightness, colour, ANSI uniformity, contrast, image quality, image distortion, blemishes & defects and gamma. PM-PTS can operate in conjunction with the TrueMURA software for advanced display defect detection and classification. |
|
PM-PTS-DCB / GC SoftwarePM-PTS-DCB / GC software works in conjunction with the production test sequencing (PTS) software (see above) to provide a turn-key solution for the colour balancing and gamma correction of LCD and LCOS three-colour channel projectors and displays. |
|
PM-PTS-ODP / OSP SoftwarePM-PTS-ODP / OSP (OLED Display and Sub-Pixel Measurement) software modules are a complete, turn-key solution for test and inspection of full color OLED displays with applications in both production and R&D environments. The PM-PTS-ODP and -OSP modules are designed to supplement or replace human visual inspection for OLED quality control. Both are components of the PM-PTS (Production Test Sequencer) software suite. |

PM-KB SoftwarePM-KB (Keyboard Test) allows automated inspection of illuminated computer keyboards and keypads. Using keyboard-specific templates, PM-KB directs the ProMetric camera to look for the luminance for each illuminated key on the keyboard to assess character luminance and chromaticity, and overall keyboard luminance and color uniformity. Simplified pass/fail type reporting is based upon user-defined threshold levels. |

TrueMURA SoftwareTrueMURA software performs automated defect detection analysis for flat panel display (FPD) systems, providing JND (Just Noticeable Difference) mura mapping that is well correlated to human judgment of brightness, colour, and blemishes. This module is available for use with Radiant Imaging’s ProMetric 9.1 and later control and analysis software and as a module with PM-PTS 3.0 and later Production Test Sequencer application software. Together with a ProMetric camera, it provides a complete characterisation of flat panel displays (especially LCD panels) in R&D and production. |

VisionCALVisionCAL is a turn-key solution for LED screen manufacturers and installers that can be used to dramatically improve colour and brightness uniformity in many LED displays. The system is designed to be flexible enough to address LED module correction needs in a controlled factory environment and to also perform in-field correction of the spectacular, large, LED video screens used in stadiums, in arenas, for outdoor advertising, or for large indoor displays. |
|
VisionLINKThe VisionLINK processor means that almost any LED screen can now be corrected for brightness and colour uniformity to optimise visual appearance. Even “uncorrectable” screens can have improved visual performance with VisionLINK. By putting VisionLINK in-line with the DVI video signal feed to the LED screen, VisionLINK applies the same correction methodology used for correctable screens to the video signal sent to the screen. By modifying the video feed to compensate for the non-uniformity of the LED screen, the screen image is then corrected to achieve “like-new” brightness and colour uniformity. |
|
VisionMATCHThe VisionMATCH LED module matcher provides a fast and accurate solution for seamlessly matching LED screen module color and brightness to the overall screen appearance. Once an LED screen has been corrected to achieve optimal brightness and colour uniformity with VisionCAL, the appearance must be maintained as LED performance degrades over time. Regular screen correction allows screen performance to be recovered, and Radiant Imaging's VisionMATCH system allows replacement modules to be matched to overall screen performance. |
