SYS 40 Beam Handling System

The SYS 40 rail and slider system provides a 40mm optical axis suitable for use with 1-inch optics. Choose from rails with slotted holes or counter bores for mounting, or a 4-sided profile rail that is perfect for 3D assemblies. All are made from a special aluminium alloy with high dimensional stability. The system rails, companion slides and other SYS 40 components (such as optics holders) form a modular beam handling system. SYS 40 rails are made in standard lengths but other lengths are available on request. Convenient optics and mechanics starter kits are also available in the SYS 40 series.

OWIS SYS 40 Rail System with Counter Bores

SYS 40 System Rails with Counter Bores

S 40 system rails with counter bores are available in lengths from 40mm to 1m. The fixing holes of these system rails make them an ideal choice for mounting on equipment featuring standard thread grids consisting of M6 female threads spaced at 25 or 50mm.

SYS 40 System Rails with Slotted Holes

S 40 LL system rails with slotted holes are available in lenghts from 100mm to 1m. The slotted holes of these system rails ensure compatibility with a wide variety of optical tables and other equipment (e g. tables with non-metric thread grids) and allow the rails to be mounted in numerous directions.

SYS 40 Four-Sided Profile Rails

The S 40-4 profile rails allow 3D setups to be constructed and their stiffness even allows cantilever constructions to be built. The dovetail guides are compatible with those of the other SYS 40 rails, thus, all SYS 40 slides and holders can be used with the profile rails. All four faces of the profile rails can be used at the same time without interference. Profile rails are available in sizes from 180mm to 1.5m.

SYS 40 Slides

The RT 40 slides for the SYS 40 rails are equipped with tilting clamping pieces. The slides can be placed easily on the system rails or on the 4-side profile rails and fixed with the screw. The structure of the clamping pieces guarantees a high adhesion without deforming the rail. The slides are available with knurled screws or with socket head cap screws.

SYS 40 Starter Kits

The starter kit SKM 40 contains the most frequently needed SYS 40 mechanical components supplied in a convenient storage case. The kit includes a selection of SYS 40 profile rails and sliders as well as optics holders, adjustable mounts, adaptors, screws and tools. The companion starter kit SKO 40 contains a selection of mounted lenses, beam splitters, mirrors, prisms and filters, also supplied in a rugged storage case.
