This page provides an overview of the products and services which Pro-Lite offers for those wishing to test the optical properties of materials. The measurement equipment is listed by measurement parameter. In addition to test & measurement equipment, we provide optical standards (reflectance, colour, fluorescence & wavelength) which are used to calibrate spectrophotometer and reflectometer systems as well as measurement services.

Imaging Sphere BRDF Goniometer 

BRDF & BTDF (Scatter)

The Imaging Sphere™ from Radiant Imaging represents a quantum leap forward in goniometric scatterometers. Based on patented technology developed jointly by Radiant Imaging and Royal Philips Electronics, the IS-SA can characterise the hemispherical reflective or transmissive scatter (BRDF, BTDF) for a given angle of illumination in seconds, making the Imaging Sphere several orders of magnitude faster and more affordable than traditional goniometeric analysers.

Reflectance, Transmittance & Absorption

An integrating sphere collects the total light reflected from or scattered through a material when illuminated by a sample beam. In reflectance, the Labsphere RT sphere design provdes for the measurement of diffuse (i.e. scattered), specular and total reflectance. In transmittance, the RT design provides for the measurement of diffuse (i.e haze), specular (forward scatter) and total transmittance. The RTC design incorporates a centre mounted sample holder which in addition to the capabilities of the RT sphere, provides for measurements of total reflectance versus incident angle. The RTC sphere can also be used to measure the absorption of a sample placed in its centre.

The Labsphere RT and RTC spheres can be combined with an Ocean Optics spectrometer for spectral measurements. Light sources include the Labsphere KI-120 Koehler illuminator as well as a variety of light sources from Ocean Optics that can be coupled into the sphere using the UV74 fibre optic collimator and a 1-inch Labsphere port adaptor (CA-09731-000).

Spectral Reflectance & Colour

An Ocean Optics USB4000 spectrometer forms the heart of a modular system for measuring the spectral reflectance of materials. Choose from a variety of sampling optics that permit the measurement of directional, specular and diffuse reflectance.
