Luminance Photometers & Colorimeters

Spot luminance meters are used for measuring the "brightness" of a defined area (or 'spot') on a display, sign or other light source. Our range includes a luminance photometer, tristimulus-response luminance colorimeters and an advanced "spectral colorimeter" that provides a colorimetric accuracy approaching that of a spectroradiometer but at a fraction of the cost.
If you need to measure the luminance or colour uniformity (for example, of displays or instrument panels or LED arrays or video screens), you may wish to consider a ProMetric Imaging Photometer.

Brontes High Speed Luminance ColorimeterThe Brontes from Admesy is a high speed luminance colorimeter that can record up to 5,500 colour or 18,500 luminance measurements per second. The Brontes can be operated from a PC or as a stand-alone instrument that can be used for pass/fail type reporting in the production control of displays and LED-based devices. |

CA-210 Luminance ColorimeterThe CA-210 from Konica Minolta is a benchtop, tristimulus spot colorimeter with contact probe. It is used principally for the measurement of white balance, white uniformity, luminance, chromaticity and gamma of various flat panel display devices including LCD and plasma. The CA-210 can also be used for flicker measurements. |

CS-100A Luminance ColorimeterThe Konica Minolta CS-100A is a portable tristimulus spot colorimeter with a 1° field of view and SLR viewing optics. It is our least expensive, portable colorimeter for display measurements and reports brightness in cd/m2 and CIE chromaticity in the 1931 xy system. The CS-100A can also report colour difference and can be used for reflected luminance measurements. |

CS-200 Luminance "Spectral-Colorimeter"The CS-200 from Konica Minolta functions as a portable luminance colorimeter with SLR optics and a selectable 1.0, 0.2 & 0.1° field of view. Uniquely, the CS-200 uses a spectral detector system that approaches the accuracy of a true spectroradiometer but with the price and convenience of a colorimeter. This makes the CS-200 especially well suited to measuring the colour of LCDs and LEDs. |

LS-100 & LS-110 Luminance PhotometersThe LS-100 & -110 from Konica Minolta are portable spot luminance meters with a 1° or 1/3° measurement field of view, respectively. They are routinely used for measuring the brightness of displays and other light sources in units of candelas per sq. meter (cd/m2). Although affordable, the LS-100/110 nevertheless possess a spectral response matched to the CIE standard observer for photopic vision. |
