Optronik Digilux 9500 Illuminance Photometer

The very highest accuracy, laboratory illuminance (lux) meter
Optronik's Digilux 9500 is a research-grade, laboratory illuminance photometer which is available with a choice of sensors which are precision-matched to the CIE standard observer for photopic vision V(l). The Digilux is a bench-top photometer for measuring the illuminance of light sources in units of lux (lx). Optionally, the meter can be configured to report luminous intensity in candelas (cd) or luminous flux in lumens (lm).
Research-Grade Performance & Features
The Digilux 9500 is available with a dynamic range of 6 decades (7 or 8 are optional), allowing its use with both dim and bright light sources. The meter offers a resolution as low as 0.0001 lux as well as a full scale of 2,000,000 lux. The range can be set automatically or manually. An RS-232C (serial) interface is fitted as standard, while optional Digilux control PC software provides the ability to store and evaluate measurements as well as export results in an Excel-compatible format.
Proprietary Filter Technology for Highest Photometric Accuracy
Optronik developed one of the first digital lux meters in 1968 and is today acknowledged as a leader in the design and manufacture of precision photometric equipment. Proprietary photopic filters consist of several elements designed to match the CIE V(l) photopic response curve with an f1' figure-of-merit of better than 1.5% at all wavelengths (for class L sensors per DIN 5032 and CIE No. 69). The out-of-band sensitivity in the IR and UV range is also reduced to below 0.1%. The careful design of the detectors ensures best-in-class accuracy and repeatability, even with monochromatic or narrow band radiation sources such as LEDs. The Digilux 9500 is available with a choice of 8 standard sensors with active areas of 1, 6, 10, 12 and 30mm diameter. Depending upon the sensor, you can choose either a DIN class A (f1' < 3.0 or 2.5%) or class L (f1' < 1.5%) spectral response, with or without a cosine diffuser and with the further option of thermostatic control of the sensor head.
