Lattice Window Design Allows Custom Solutions For Laser Protection windows

Absorbent mineral glass laser protection windows are commonly used in laser processing systems. However, due to glass manufacturing limitations, these windows are available only in dimension up to 210 x 290 mm. While plastic windows are often used as alternatives for their more flexible, larger measurement ranges, these laser absorbing plastic windows do not hit the required laser protection levels for many systems.

In close cooperation with its partners, LASERVISION now offers an innovative lattice window design solution, which allows the combination of absorbing mineral glass in a specially designed window frame, helping to form a larger protective area. Due to the limitations of the field of view and display, dimension camera based monitoring systems are not an alternative to the direct view through a laser protection window.

In order to form a large window structure, several windows are mounted in an Aluminium frame. The number of mounted glass elements is configured by the user and is factory mounted, and these frames can be easily formed within enclosures, doors or barriers.
