KDP Cells

Inrad's 530 and 540 series cells are used to house KDP and KD*P Pockels cell crystals of either type I or type II orientation. The 530 series are "dry" cells while the 540 series are "wet" cells. All cells are equipped with windows to prevent contamination of the sensitive crystal surfaces and to protect them against damage caused by moisture. The call windows are typically coated with a standard Inrad antireflection (AR) coating.

► 531, 532 Series Dry KDP Cells

The 531 and 532 series are "dry" cells with protective windows typically AR coated on both sides. The maximum crystal length each cell can house is 15 and 30mm respectively for the 531 and 532.

► 541, 542 Series Wet KDP Cells

The 541 and 542 series are "wet" cells with protective windows typically AR coated on one side. The 540 series cells are filled with a fluid which matches the refractive index of the windows and crystal surfaces to reduce reflectance losses. The maximum crystal length each cell can house is 15 and 30mm respectively for the 541 and 542.
